The thing about writing is you ought to complete sooner than later. Otherwise, things just pile up. And that’s exactly what happened with me this week. Too much office workload and too little time to give finishing touches to Substack. As a result, I couldn’t complete any of the blog ideas I thought of posting. But it’s alright. I enjoy the intial process—literary foreplay, if you may—compared to the ending of a piece. When it’s done, there is nothing left. Just another blogpost wandering in the maze of the internet. Conversely, when an idea, or even a thought, has germinated and is taking shape, witnessing it happens has to be the most exciting phase. It’s like a rendezvous with your brain.
